METER READER/STREET OPERATOR

The Town of Jackson, Public Works Department is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Meter Reader/Street Operator. The hiring range for this position is $21.00/hr on July 1 or $43,680 annually on July 1, with a full salary range of $43,600 - $62,100. This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional interested in public service. The primary duties include meter reading, meter installation, repair, maintenance, backflow prevention, and data entry work related to those functions. Additionally, during the winter season the position transitions to the Streets team and is part of the snow removal crew that includes snow plowing, hauling snow, heavy equipment operation and street sweeping. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, a Wyoming Class B Commercial Drivers License, and 2 years experience in a maintenance position utilizing light or heavy duty equipment or construction activities. This position has full benefits offered by the Town of Jackson currently including health, vision and dental insurance, retirement benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO), which covers vacation, sick and holidays. Rental housing available. Position includes federally mandated pre-employment, random and post incident drug and alcohol testing.
