The Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems (WARWS) is seeking its next Executive Director - a leader with high integrity, transparent and open communications, and the ability to enthusiastically convey the organization's vision to staff, members, constituents, legislative leaders and industry suppliers and partners.  WARWS is the premier training and technical assistance provider organization in Wyoming with over 400 water utility systems, suppliers and interested industry members.  WARWS is a state affiliate of the National Rural Water Association with 50 state affiliates and over 32,000 member systems nationwide.  WARWS participates with all state and federal agencies in providing the assistance necessary to meet the needs of our membership and to ensure the protection of Wyoming’s water resources for public consumption.

This position has a generous benefit and compensation package.  Frequent travel throughout the great state of Wyoming and nationally meeting with residents, elected officials, agency personnel and other interested parties is one of the great perks of the position (so says our retiring ED).  “Travel around the state and country and talk/educate people about water”.

WARWS exists to promote the growth and development of water systems throughout Wyoming and the region as the state’s largest membership driven organization.  The Executive Director will manage the association's daily operations, advocate on behalf of the public water systems and their customers, participate in legislative and rule-making activities at the state and federal levels, will oversee public relations, association development, member services, and will provide direct supervision and support of association staff. The Executive Director will report directly to the Board of Directors of the Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems.

Must be located within 1 hour drive of Glenrock, Wyoming state association office.  Interested parties may reach out to Mark Pepper, Executive Director, markp@warws.com or 307-259-6903 to receive additional information .  The projected start date is November 1, 2025 with full assumption of duties on January 1, 2026.
